The American Kidney Fund offers the Carolyn Wilson Dialysis Patient Scholarship Program. The scholarship period lasts for one year. Funding for subsequent years will depend on the availability of funds and documentation of successful completion of the previous academic year. The College Resources Center is an advocate for students seeking the college to experience higher education. Scholarship advisors provide comprehensive student advisement and scholarship searches are offered. The University of Central Oklahoma offers the George and Donna Nigh Public Service Scholarship, which was established by the Oklahoma State Legislature and former Gov. Frank Keating in 1999. The purpose of this scholarship is to allow each of the two- and four-year higher educational institutions, both public and private, to select and honor one student each year as a Nigh Scholar. The Hopson-Laurent Scholarship Fund was established in 2010 to benefit qualified applicants from Fort Towson and Choctaw County, Oklahoma. The Chickasaw Nation is pleased to offer its students funding assistance for college. The Chickasaw offers the Inter-Tribal Council of the Five Civilized Tribes Johnson-O'Malley Scholarship in memory of Johnson-O'Malley.
