The Black Community Scholarship Fund was established by the Black Community Fund (BCF) Board of Directors to provide scholarship support to African-American students from the Greater Kansas City area seeking educational advancement through a college or university degree or accredited certificate program in areas and fields determined by the Black Community Fund Board of Directors. Applicants must be of African-American heritage; must reside in the six (6) county Kansas City metropolitan area (Jackson, Platte, Clay and Cass counties in Missouri, Wyandotte and Johnson counties in Kansas).
