The Colonel Kathleen Swacina scholarship was inspired by a desire to honor COL Swacina's accomplishments, support the AFCEA community, and provide support to students who demonstrate resilience and determination when faced with adversity. This scholarship is to be awarded to a female STEM candidate in Georgia. This merit-based scholarships will be awarded to full-time undergraduate sophomore or junior students or graduate students who have completed at least two courses and who will not be graduating in the current year. The Dora Maclellan Brown Ministry Scholarships are one of the most unique in the country. Named in honor and memory of the founder of The Generosity Trust, these scholarships have been awarded since 1965 to students from the greater Chattanooga area who are studying for current or future ministry service. These scholarships are available to theologically and Biblically conservative students who are taking classes or completing master’s degrees (no doctoral candidates) at a theological seminary, Bible College, or a seminary-like program at graduate school. This scholarship is for students who seek to work full or part-time in vocational Christian services.  This includes pastoral ministry, Biblical counseling, international missions, and other similar outreaches.
